Ohio has been predicted to tie for third with Central Michigan in the Mid-American Conference this season after votes were casted by the conference’s coaches and polls were released Tuesday afternoon.

Ohio received one first-place vote and one vote to win the MAC Championships.

Last season, the Bobcats went 6-11 along with a 4-2 MAC record — good enough for fourth place in the MAC.  The Bobcats fell to Kent State (2-0) in the MAC Championship after upsetting the No. 1 seed Central Michigan.

In front of Ohio’s ranking was Kent State and Miami University — with the Golden Flashes being the former MAC Champions.

The Bobcats will have their first two games this weekend, with one against Saint Francis on Friday and Lock Haven on Saturday.
