Jimmy Butler films hike in Vancouver for ‘Jimmy Tries’ YouTube series

Jimmy Butler is just out here living his best life and trying new things.

Butler recently went hiking with some of his friends in Vancouver, Canada, to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and his YouTube channel produced a video from the group’s journey.

The video is the second episode of a series Butler has on his channel called “Jimmy tries.” During the video, Butler said he and his friends had all never gone on a hike. The first episode he did involved him traveling to Rome and  learning how to be a Roman gladiator.
The Philadelphia 76ers swingman arguably has one of the funniest personalities in the NBA, and he had plenty of jokes to reel off while on the group’s trip. One of the video’s first scenes captures Butler and his friends going to a hiking store to get supplies for their trip.

“Some of my items, a knife,” Butler said in the video. “In case I’m out there with Sasquatch and we go toe-to-toe.”

Butler also said he bought a frisbee because he might get bored while out on the hike.

“Cast Away, think about Cast Away,” Butler said of the movie starring Tom Hanks. “If he didn’t have that volleyball, he was done.”

As Butler and his friends went on the hike, Butler talked about how he was wary of rolling off the cliff and didn’t want to look at the water. He said he if he rolled off the cliff one way, then he’d hit the ground.

But he also said if he rolled off the cliff the other way, he’d land in the water — Butler mentioned he can’t swim.

“And then when I looked between my legs, I could see the land and the water, and that was when I was like,” Butler said as he shook his head.

Butler’s second episode of him trying something new shows his fun-loving personality. Though he is competitive on the court, Butler seems like a guy that’d be fun to hang with off the floor.
