Kevin Durant visits Team USA basketball practice in Los Angeles

With the FIBA World Cup less than a month away, USA Basketball is preparing for its Friday exhibition game against Spain. Team USA had its last practice in Los Angeles on Thursday, and the Americans had a guest come to practice.

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant came to visit Team USA, and one picture shows him standing beside USA Basketball coach Gregg Popovich.

USA Basketball is slated to play Spain at the Honda Center in Anaheim at 10 p.m. ET.

As one of the best players in the world, Durant has helped Team USA win the gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2012 London Olympics. He also helped the Americans defeat Turkey in the 2010 FIBA World Championship.

Along with players such as Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Durant is one of the best players in USA Basketball history. He led the Americans in scoring during the Summer Olympics in 2012 and 2016.

It’s good to see Durant active as he recovers from a right Achilles injury he suffered during the NBA Finals in June. Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Durant is expected to miss all of the 2019-20 season.
