Bryan High School wins first girls OHSAA Division II state bowling championship in program history

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Last season the Bryan girls bowling team earned runner-up at the OHSAA Division II state championship for the first time in program history.

On Saturday, the Golden Bears took their program a step further. Bryan defeated Coldwater in a 3-1 series to win the Division II state championship to secure their first state title in program history.

The state championship was held in Columbus at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

With Coldwater taking runner-up, the Cavaliers have now been runner-up three times in program history. With four championships, Coldwater has the most state titles of any girls bowling program, winning in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017.

Greenon took third place in the state championship, with Triway and Benjamin Logan placing fourth and fifth, respectively.
